You will get a color/font-coded plot of all the courses (that have
specified meeting times) with dotted guide lines to show any specified
standard course slots. (For the standard Loyola University of Chicago
timing grid, the data is already available.) You will also get
listings of all the courses sorted according to various orderings:
basically by "code", by course number, by instructor, and by time;
you'll get plain text versions as well as color/font-coded versions in
Postscript and PDF. (The Postscript and PDF versions also include the
feature that if the listing is more than one page long, the headings
are repeated at the top of each page.) Following is a set of sample
output.
In this set of samples, the color scheme is blue for courses at
Water Tower Campus, red for courses at Lake Shore Campus, and green
for other courses, with a lighter shade of each color used for courses
that are lab or online courses. In addition, graduate courses
(numbered 400 and above) are in boldface type and undergraduate in
roman; on the plot, courses that are cross-listed graduate and
undergraduate use sans serif type except for the course and section
numbers, which are bold/roman as indicated above. In the plot,
courses with same time, location, type, credits, and instructor plot
in the same box. Horizontal position within a day is arbitrary. Gray
arrows point from labs to the lecture sections they correspond to.
Dotted lines show the Loyola grid. Times are in 24 hour notation.
The following views of the "2004fa" schedule were produced using
