Loyola University of Chicago Computer Science Fall 2004 Course Schedule
Provided here are links to two different sets of schedule views. In
each case, you get a plot of courses on the Loyola grid (for those
courses that have meeting times) and listings under different sort
orders (basically by unique code, by course and section number, by
instructor, and by time). The plot consolidates into one box those
courses that have the same time, location, type (e.g., Lab/Lec),
credits, and instructor even though there may be multiple
course/section numbers; it shows all information except course titles.
In the Postscript and PDF files, color and font codings are utilized.
The two sets of views below are based on two different customization
choices for the colors and fonts as explained below.
- The
first scheme
follows Loyola tradition of putting graduate
courses (numbered 400 and above) in boldface and others in roman type.
(In the plot, courses that are crosslisted graduate/undergraduate use
sans serif type except for the course and section numbers.) Color
coding is done by location: Blue for courses at Water Tower Campus,
Red for courses at Lake Shore Campus, and PineGreen for other courses,
with lighter shades (CornflowerBlue, CarnationPink, and ForestGreen)
for courses that are lab or online courses.
- The
second scheme
uses color coding for grad/undegrad and
typeface coding for location. Graduate courses are Red, undegrad are
Blue, and crosslisted grad/undergrad courses use Magenta in the plot
beyond the course and section numbers. Boldface is used for Water
Tower courses, roman for Lake Shore, and sans serif for others.
