Provided here are instructions on how to use some tools to view and print schedules, e.g., of courses at a university. (Henceforth, I'll talk about scheduling courses, though the items scheduled could be something else.) A very simple tabular input of data can be used to obtain a variety of helpful views. To provide motivation, the following links begin with a description of the output (including a sample); then there are links to explanations of how to prepare your input and make a submission. (Output includes a color/font-coded plot of courses, a graphical view with dotted guide lines to show any specified standard course slots. You also get listings of all the courses sorted according to various orderings: basically by "code", by course number, by instructor, and by time.) (All output can be viewed in PDF (and printable) with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. It is also viewable/printable using PDF or Postscript with the free GSview previewer. Sorted, plain text listings, without color, size, and typeface changes, can also be handled directly by your browser.)
